Weight Loss Issues Don't Have to Haunt You: Find Help with These Quick Weight Loss Tips, Click Here!
One way to simplify weight loss and to take some of the pain out of it is to keep a journal. Take the time to write down every thing that you eat makes a big difference. Just the fact that I have to write down that I ate that cookie is often times all it takes to keep me from eating it. At the end of the day when I have taken time to write everything that went in my mouth I notice that I have put more thought into the food I've eaten and that reflects in fewer calories.
A weekly weigh in has been a plus for me. I have found that weighing in on a weekly basis helps me to see a difference and helps me to stay on track. I have tried it other ways, weighing in too often and not weighing in at all and this seems to me the best tact to take. I used to think I didn't need to weigh in at all because I knew what I weighed by how my clothes were fitting. Twenty pounds later I knew that was a mistake. And when I weighed in too often I found myself getting too discouraged. Day to day weight swings would have me in a tizzy, and I would be running to the freezer for the ice cream.
I also found that if I weighed in weekly and required myself to make note of the weight I was more likely to stick to my goals. I take note by finding a couple friends with similar goals and emailing them once a week with my weigh in number and my goals for the week. Not only does it help to write it down and think about it, it helps to have the moral support of friends in the same boat.
Exercise is the one thing that I find myself cringing at. I know that I'm not alone in this but I also know how important it is not only for my weight but emotionally I know that I feel much better when I have exercised. Finding the time and energy during the day more often then not is impossible. The easy way out that I give myself is my pedometer. Not only is it a proven fact that people who wear them take more steps than those who don't, I really enjoy being able to see how far I've gone during the day and how many calories I've burned.
Now that you've had some time to read this article and think about how you could make a few small changes, start planning for your next week. Start with small goals and they will add up quickly.
